 WARDROBE DETAILS:

Everyone attended a wardrobe fitting and your costume will be provided on set. Please wear anything of yours that was instructed at your fitting.

HAIR/MAKE-UP DETAILS: VERY IMPORTANT!

Realism is an important aspect for this show and production, so we are looking for people who are willing to commit to a character and the time period. Please be cooperative with the makeup department and avoid modern looking details (nail color, lip color, etc) for day of filming. BG need to come with clean dry hair. 

Men-

  • Come with clean, dry hair.

  • No big afros, sharp hairlines, or super sharp edged hairlines.

  • Men are encouraged to have/keep mustaches, otherwise come clean-shaven - no scruff. Men must be ok with getting a 1963 haircut if necessary.   

  • **IF YOU ARE PLAYING THE PART OF A "NATION OF ISLAM" SOLDIER / FOLLOWER OF MALCOLM X PLEASE COME TO SET CLEAN SHAVEN

  • Remove all face jewelry and ear piercings.

Women-

  • Women come with clean, dry hair.

  • Black women, come with clean dry blown out straight hair!!  Women who are Italian types, please clean, dry and set hair in rollers is suggested.  For nonunion women, Wigs should refer the period and can be brought along if you have them. (see pics below)

  • Women come wearing foundation that matches your natural skin tone and black mascara.

  • Bring a Frost (pale) pink lipstick (no matte or super glossy lipsticks). No bright pink lip colors.

  • Fingernails should be an oval, pointed, short or long shape, "Coffin" shape is allowed. Polish can be clear, frost, champagne beige, peach, pale pink. NOT MATTE FINISH.

  • Red nails are for Women over 30 -years -old + NOT MATTE FINISH.

  • Remove any face jewelry piercings.

Everyone must bring original, valid, unexpired ID to fill out the I-9 on the voucher you will be given on set. You cannot work without presenting identification. NO PHOTOCOPIES OR SCANNED IMAGES.
