HAIR/MAKE-UP DETAILS:
MEN:
All BG actors must show up for their fittings and film days with clean, dry hair. No product in hair!
MEN MUST BE COMFORTABLE RECEIVING A 1930s HAIRCUT IF NEEDED. If you are not comfortable receiving a haircut, having your side burns cut, or being clean shaven, you must notify us immediately!
Men cannot have any fades in their hair or shaved sides.
Men must be clean shaven on the shoot date. No stubble or long sideburns, unless otherwise instructed.
No unnatural hair colors or visible roots.
WOMEN:
All BG actors must show up for their fittings and film days with clean, dry hair. No product in hair!
No fashion colors. No visible roots if hair is colored. No undercuts. No shaved sides. No ombré or unnatural looking highlights.
Hair department must be able to style your hair in a period appropriate look. No weaves/extensions. No braids or locs.
Hair must be above the shoulders, it cannot touch the shoulders. If hair touches shoulders, it will need to be cut by our hair dept. (Unless hair is pre-approved by casting/hair dept)
African American women please follow the instructions give to you by the hair department at your fitting.
Short hair is ok. Any texture is ok. Gray hair on more mature women is great.
Makeup Notes:
For day of filming: - Please come with a clean face or a light base, but no other makeup
- Thin eyebrows were very fashionable at the time, so we may shape your
eyebrows, tweezing or glue covering if necessary depending on the
scene
- Please bring your own mascara (but let us put it on!)
- After we get you through make up, do not change or alter your makeup!
- Nail shape should be almond shape, oval or natural (no Square), red or
clean nails only, we may add polish to take it off. No long acrylic nails!
FACIAL HAIR:
Everyone must come clean shaven, no scruff, no beards or long sideburns.
We welcome mustaches and will make them into pencil mustaches. We
may choose a small number of you to put on a mustache
TATTOOS:
Let us know if you have any Tattoos, if your costume doesn’t hide them we must
cover them. Take out all piercings.
WARDOBE DETAILS:
Everyone attended a fitting. Please wear what was instructed to you at your fitting. Please only wear items that you already own and fit what you are being asked to provide (depending on the role you are playing). We are not asking you to buy anything that you don't already own.
ALL SAG ROLES - Wear 1: Wardrobe will provide costume
MEN:
Please have your personal
-Appropriate underwear (Boxers, Boxer Briefs or Briefs)
-White cotton undershirt (a-tank or crew neck t-shirt)
-Dress socks (black)
-Black dress shoes (cap toe with laces)
WOMEN:
Please have your personal
-Appropriate underwear including an unpadded soft cup flesh tone/white bra without underwire. Make sure straps are adjustable
PROJECT DETAILS:
-THIS IS A PERIOD PIECE, 1936. You must be ok working around smoke. This is atmospheric smoke as well as herbal cigarette smoke
-This is a reminder to all cast and crew that NO personal photography or video on set (or in rehearsal, offices, workspaces) is permitted.
-There is also a strict social media blackout policy. No cast or crew is permitted to post about the project on any social media outlets or speak to the press
***A few gentle reminders regarding confidentiality- regarding social media (e.g., Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc...) all of which are part of our everyday experiences.
Please help to enforce and follow these simple, but very important policies so as not to compromise our film, and our livelihoods, in any way.
1. No photos, video or audio recordings at any time on your cell phones or other devices on or around set.
2. Do not disclose to anyone outside of the production information concerning the series, plot points, storylines, characters or cast.
3. Do not post photos or details of production material such as scripts, schedules, call sheets, sides, art work, costumes, props, set, etc... and do not let them out of your personal possession.
4. Do not post the production address or shooting location. Always clear set visits for non-production personnel through the production office.
5. Please return any film-related materials (i.e.: scripts, schedules, call sheets, sides, etc...) to the production office to be confidentially shredded and recycled.

Please show up following the hair, make up and wardrobe instructions above.
Please be professional and get to set at your designated call time. If you are late, we are called and have to track you down. This slows down production. Make sure you check in with the PA in holding BEFORE you go get breakfast or go to wardrobe. Please make sure the PA checks off your name and check-in# and gives you a voucher before you step away.
